Day Two - To Exercise or Not to Exercise

Today is a good time to start thinking about getting into a regular exercise routine.  In an all juice fast it's best to keep exercise to a minimum because you are not consuming enough calories.  But, because we are eating whole clean foods right now an exercise routine would be safe and very effective during this cleanse.

Take today to think about creating a regular exercise routine into your week.  Pick the types of exercise you enjoy the most, whether that is walking, running, spin, yoga and schedule it as an appointment.  Why?  Because most people don't cancel on doctors appointments and hair appointments.  It's usually something that we've scheduled a month in advance which makes it more of a commitment. It also is a good way to avoid letting other plans getting in the way of your exercise routine. If someone tries to make plans with you - just say, "I have an appointment from 5-6pm, but I'm free after that.

I hope everyone is enjoying this process and your eyes and stomachs are being impressed by the amazing tastes of all the fruits, veggies and non processed foods you've been eating.  If you have a stigma about fish - I made an amazing cedar plank salmon last night.  Josh said, "You could sell this in a restaurant for $25 and people would gladly pay it."  That was a pretty great complement!  I'll email you the recipe if you would like to eat fish and guarantee it not being fishy!  Just a heads up, you will need a grill and to purchase (at the regular grocery store) a cedar plank.  I found mine at Ralphs near the meat department.  It was about $10 for 2 planks.

Please share any recipes that you though were hits this week too!

  1. I am surprised how good I feel today. Jill made juice this morning with oranges, bananas, apples and spinach, and it was really delicious! You can't taste the spinach at all. We went to the gym last night, and I definitely felt like I didn't have enough in my system, but that is also probably because I haven't worked out in months, or eaten fruit. I can't stop thinking about cheeseburgers, but I am really enjoying eating better. My insides aren't as burney as usual. I am looking forward to eating a piece of fish here in the near future, and I'm hoping I can convince Jill to give it a try.
