The weekend is a fun time to get out of the house and do things with friends and family. It's also a good time to explore restaurants that you can eat at while doing this cleanse. Find a local raw food restaurant, possibly a new vegan restaurant or somewhere that cooks a mean fish or chicken. Josh and I remembered a place in west hills today - El Pollo Amigo. They just grill there chicken and use amazing spices to season it. We got a side of pinto beans and salsa and it was SO good!
It's also a good time to get prepared, in two ways. First, if you are going to an event where you know there will not be anything good for you to eat, eat a good dinner before you go there and BRING SNACKS! It's so important to have something you are allowed to nibble so you don't give into temptation and nibble on something you shouldn't. Second, take the weekend to do you grocery shopping. Lauren, Frank, Josh and myself are starting to take advantage of the farmers markets. It's a great place to by all our fruits and veggies, and it's a good way to support local farming on top of getting good deals.
